I planted catnip in our gardens a few years ago and it has continued to spread. This year was our first distillation of catnip. Distilled on June 28th using the flowers and leaves.
Catnip (Nepeta cataria) hydrosol has a green sweet herbaceous aroma.
- Calming and balancing to the autonomic nervous system; soothes or reduces feelings and symptoms of stress or anxiety
- Useful in sprays as insect repellent (e.g., as a base for mosquito repellents)
- Great in water before bedtime to relieve insomnia and provide a good nights sleep.
- Add 1 Tablespoon into your water and enjoy! Calming and relaxing.
