Our carrot infused oil uses the carrots we grew right here in North Carolina. We then dehydrated the carrots and infused them into a beautiful certified organic sunflower oil. It's a beautiful herbal oil to use for skin care.
Carrot herbal oil is rich in the fat-soluble sterol beta-carotene, which is the most well-known pro-vitamin A carotenoid. Beta-carotene is the component responsible for giving carrot-infused oil its rich red/orange color as well as its therapeutic benefits. It is a potent oxygen radical scavenger. Beta-carotene acts as a photoprotective agent in the skin, as it functions as a cellular screen against sunlight-induced free radical change.
FORMULATING WITH Carrot Herbal Oil
Sensory info: Orange to light reddish color due to beta-carotene content
Dilution: Can be used 5-25% in a blend of other carrier oils.
